Programs and Funding

The AOC has exclusive responsibility for the representation of Australia at the Olympic Games, Youth Olympic Games and at regional, continental and world multi‐sports competitions patronised by the IOC. It is our responsibility to select, send and fund Australian Teams to the Olympic Games.

The AOC is a non-government, not-for-profit organisation, committed to the development of youth and sport.

AOC Funding is derived from income distributions from the Australian Olympic Foundation, grants from the International Olympic Committee (IOC), known as Olympic Solidarity, grants from the Organising Committees for the Olympic Games (OCOGs), sponsorship, licensing and fundraising for Olympic Teams by the AOC, State/Territory Olympic Councils and the Olympic Team Appeal Committees.

The following breaks down the funding by category.
