ATHLETICS: Victorian middle-distance runner Alex Rowe has equalled the Australian men’s 800m national record at the IAAF Diamond League meeting in Monaco, matching the time of 1:44.40 set by Ralph Doubell when he won the gold medal at the 1968 Mexico Olympic Games.
