Our history dates back to 1870, when our Japanese founder, Yataro Iwasaki, started a shipping company with three steamships. The company grew from strength to strength and in 1914, registered the Mitsubishi three- diamond trademark. Our Manufacturing Capability
Mitsubishi has a vast production facility at Tonsley Park in South Australia. This facility can produce up to 320 vehicles in a single shift, and holds one of the largest, centralised tooling maintenance facilities in the Southern Hemisphere. This facility was also responsible for producing the award-winning Mitsubishi 380.
