Finding my feet: Lauren's Blog

27 May 2013

BLOG: I've been having a great time in Melbourne catching up with friends and family while completing my rehab program. My foot is healing well and getting a lot stronger. But with the snow season opening in 12 days I'm ready to hit the road again!

My physio has said I'll be able to ride by opening weekend. So I'll be spending some time at Buller then heading to Thredbo with my brother Cameron and then we go onto Canada in preparation for the World Cup in August in NZ.

It's been a long recovery filled with pain and frustration and since I've never injured myself like this before I've learnt a lot about listening to my body. Which will be very important in the lead up to the Games. I'm really thankful for all the help from my rehab team (Anthony Khoury and Sam Oldfield) and can't wait to get back on the board!
