Balogh well placed into final

SHOOTING: Australia’s Suzy Balogh has qualified for this afternoon’s final of the women’s trap competition at the Royal Artillery Barracks.

Balogh, the Athens gold medallist in this event, posted a perfect final qualifying score of 25 for an overall score of 72.

She sits in third place going into the final, which will see the top 6 competitors shooting for medals.

Italian Jessica Rossi set a new world record in qualifying to be alone on 75 points, while Zuzana Stefecekova, is just one point ahead of Balogh on 73 points.
