18 Months To Go

It is now 18 months until the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and things are really hotting up.

The AOC has increased funding to ensure success but sadly Australia will not be represented in handball in 2008 as the teams have failed to qualify.

However, Olympic legends Michael Diamond and Clint Robinson are back competing, the Olyroos and Matildas are flying high and plenty more in the 20 Sport Shorts below.

In our ‘One to Watch’ feature meet Jane Waller who is set to become Australia's youngest ever female Olympic archer.

AOC News

“Increased funding is paramount to our success in Beijing” said Australian Olympic Committee President John Coates.

He was speaking after the AOC Executive Board approved a funding increase for the 2008 Games from $29.3 million to $32.7 million. [more]
