General Manager, Sport
A unique opportunity exists in Sydney, for an experienced sports and event management professional with a high level of energy and drive to work with this highly respected sporting organisation.
Leading a dynamic team, the General Manager, Sport is responsible for managing the key aspects of the planning and implementation of sending Australian Olympic Teams to summer, winter and youth Olympic Games.
This role primarily manages the support services, operations, administration and medical aspects of the Team with selection of athletes and officials, accreditation, Team uniforming, accommodation allocations in the Olympic Village and other operational elements to ensure athletes enjoy a high performance environment in their Olympic campaign. It demands an individual who has the proven ability to contribute to senior management teams and will be a key contributor to the AOC’s future success as part of its Senior Management.
The successful applicant will have extensive project management experience preferably in the sports industry with a sound understanding of high performance sport.
