Stephanie Magiros completed Level 10 Gymnastics before trying her hand at snowboarding at the age of 17. After watching snowboarding videos of Torah Bright in the Halfpipe and a few weekends on the NSW slopes, Magiros was hooked hooked. She began competing on the Halfpipe World Cup circuit in 2011 and produced enough two top-20 results to land a spot at the Sochi Games in 2014. On her Olympic debut Magiros snagged the last spot in the semi-finals, finishing 18th overall.
Magiros’ dream of competing at the Olympic Games was born when at nine years of age she was chosen to perform in the Closing Ceremony of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.
