Ryan Tyack

Ryan Tyack made history at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games as a part of Australia’s first ever medal winning archery team. Competing at his debut Olympic Games, Tyack won bronze with teammates Alec Potts and Taylor Worth at Rio’s famous Sambodromo.

The trio moved straight through to the quarter-finals of the 12 team competition after finishing fourth in the ranking round with a score of 2005. After defeating France they took on tournament favourites South Korea in the semi-finals. Despite shooting superbly Tyack and his teammates went down to set up a shot at bronze against China. The Aussies held their nerve to defeat the Chinese Team and win the bronze medal.

Tyack scored the 23rd highest ranking round score with 665 to see him take on Robin Ramaekers of Belgium in the individual competition. After taking the first set, Tyack went down 6-2 to exit in the first round.
