Paul Gonzalez

Paul Gonzalez won a silver medal for Australia in baseball in 2004. The outfielder was one of six players on the Athens team to have played at Sydney 2000, where the team finished seventh. Gonzalez ranked fourth for runs batted in at Sydney, and added to his fine Olympic record in Athens. He hit a home run in the fifth inning of the gold medal final, which Australia lost 6-2 to Cuba. The result was Australia’s first Olympic baseball medal.
