Athlete Biography

Alpine skier Lavinia Chrystal was 24 years old when she made her Olympic debut at the Sochi Olympic Winter 2014 Games. In the lead up to the Games, Chrystal battled with injuries and a long recovery which started in September 2011. After 18 months off the snow, she returned with gusto to take out the National Championships in August 2013. Chrystal went on to compete in the Slalom and Giant Slalom at the Sochi Games, finishing 32nd and 40th respectively.
