Kevin Chavez

Kevin Chavez won a bronze medal at the 2013 World Championships in the 1 metre springboard.

Chavez, born in Mexico, moved to Australia in March 2015 and qualified for the Rio Olympics in the 3m springboard, his first international competition for Australia.

Chavez failed to progress to the semi-final at the Games, finishing 26th in difficult and windy conditions.

At the Australian Open Championships in May he was the most consistent diver across all the rounds, but was beaten in the final by Grant Nel.
