Jenny Owens made her Olympic debut as an alpine skier at the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympic Winter Games. Owens contested the Super-G, Super Combined, Giant Slalom and Downhill, with her best result being ninth in the Super Combined. Owens made the switch to the freestyle skiing discipline of ski cross which made its Olympic debut at the Vancouver Games. After entering the World Cup circuit in 2006, Owens made a number of podium finishes. At the Vancouver Games, following a long battle with injury, Owens finished 13th in the ski cross.
