James Paterson-Robinson

James Paterson-Robinson secured his debut Olympic selection when he claimed victory in the 2012 Bourg-en-Bresse CSI4* Grand Prix in France. He produced a perfect ride as he came through with a clear round and ensured he would make his Olympic debut in London. Paterson-Robinson competed in jumping with his horse Lanosso at the 2012 London Olympics where he placed equal 41st in the individual and equal 10th in the team event.

Four years later in Rio he made his second Games team. With his horse Amarillo, he finished 53rd in the individual event and 13th in the team event.

Originally from Melbourne, Paterson-Robinson made the move to Europe in 2000 and begun riding young horses in small classes before building up to his first international show two years later. Along the way he won the 2001 World Championship for young horses in the five-year-old division before backing up his title in 2003. His career highlights also include winning the 2012 Grand Prix of Geesteren.
