Ian Browne

1931 –

At Melbourne 1956, Ian (Joey) Brown and Tony Marchant repeated the Helsinki 1952 win of Russell Mockridge and Lionel Cox in the tandem cycling. Browne and Marchant needed the repechage heats to progress to the final rounds where they hit top form to eventually become Olympic champions.

Browne competed again at Rome 1960 and Tokyo 1964 without figuring in the medals.
