Hugh Ward

1887 – 1972
 
Hugh Ward, the 1911 Rhodes Scholar from New South Wales, rowed in the three seat in the eight at Stockholm 1912. He replaced Keith Heritage in the crew that had previously won the Grand Challenge Cup at Henley that year. A doctor, he was awarded the Military Cross and two Bars in World War 1. He was twice was Mentioned in Despatches.
