A talented junior, Henry Frayne chose triple/long jump over AFL and went on to make his first World Championships in 2011, finishing ninth in the triple jump. Frayne won the Olympic trials in both the long jump and triple jump. The Queenslander headed to his debut Olympic Games in London as the first Australian since 1964 to compete in both events. Frayne qualified for the final of the long jump, finishing ninth as teammate Mitchell Watt won silver. Frayne finished 17th overall in the triple jump.
