Elka Whalan (Graham)

Elka Graham and Jacinta van Lint swam in the heat of the 4x200 metres relay at Sydney 2000. In the final, Susie O’Neill, Giaan Rooney, Petria Thomas and Kirsten Thomson combined to finish a close second behind the Jenny Thompson-led Americans. In this race, Jenny Thompson became the first woman to win seven gold medals in Olympic swimming.  Graham also swam in the 4x100 metres relay in Sydney.

At Athens 2004, she swam in the 200 and 400 metres and the 4 x 200 metres relay.  At Pan Pacs, Commonwealth Games and world championships in the early 2000s, Graham garnered a number of medals.
