Australia’s swimming great, Dawn Fraser, is returning to Japan to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 1964 Tokyo Olympics where she made history and captured the golden hat trick.
AOC: Imagine a room where you have Ian Thorpe and Herb Elliot deep in conversation; a table away three budding young 1500m swimmers are hanging on to Grant Hackett’s every word; Dawn Fraser is on the other side of the room reminiscing with teammates John Konrads and Sandra Morgan-Beavis; and London 2012 K4 gold medallist David Smith is down the back getting his Murray Rose book signed by 1956 and 1960 swim team captain John Devitt.
Swimming legend Dawn Fraser has been voted Australia's greatest ever female athlete at an awards ceremony in Canberra.
Hop on the London Underground at Jesse Owens station. After one stop change at Carl Lewis. And then ride the Tube all the way to Michael Phelps.
