Claudia Leggett began skiing on a family holiday when she was seven years old, and then started racing through the Australian Interschools Competition in 2008.
In the 2011 Australian ski season, she competed in both freestyle and alpine skiing. At the 2011 National Junior Championships she placed 14th in slalom and the following day placed 15th in giant slalom in the open competition.
At the 2011 Australia-New Zealand Cup in Mount Hotham, she placed 5th in race 2 of the ski cross competition having placed 8th the previous day in race 1.
Claudia is part of the Thredbo Ski Racing Club and is coached by dual Olympian in alpine skiing Jono Brauer. She is an all-round athlete and has competed at Queensland State level in swimming, rowing, triathlon and athletics.

Claudia is a talented swimmer and trains at Indooroopilly pool alongside Olympians Cate Campbell, Christian Sprenger and Sophie Edington.
To go as far as I can in ski cross and then play french horn for the Australian Symphony Orchestra
