Cameron Meyer won silver medals at the 2005 Australian Youth Olympic Festival in the individual pursuit and points race. Meyer won three gold medals at the 2006 World Junior Championships. In 2007 he won the Tour of Tasmania and Tour of Japan. The versatile cyclist was chosen in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Team and raced in the points race, finishing fourth. Meyer won two gold medals at the 2010 Commonwealth Games and was the winner of the 2011 Tour Down Under. Meyer was the second youngest winner of the event since Michael Rogers won at the age of 22.
