Cameron Hammond

Welterweight boxer Cameron Hammond competed at the London Olympic Games, bowing out in the round of 16 to Canadian Custio Clayton. The pair were tied on points entering the last round, but Clayton pulled away as Hammond allowed his smaller opponent to fight at close range. Hammond, an indigenous athlete from Moree, made the decision to turn professional after the Games.
