Alicia Molik

At the Athens 2004 Olympic Games, Alicia Molik’s bronze medal was the first won by an Australian in singles tennis at an Olympics. Molik finished behind Justine Henin-Hardenne of Belgium (gold) and Amélie Mauresmo of France (silver). In the playoff for third, Molik defeated the reigning French Open champion in Anastasya Myskina of Russia. Beijing 2008 was her third consecutive Games.
