World Championship trails is Brisbane

Trials to select the OWI team for the last two World Cups of the season and the 2003 World Short Track Championships will be held in Brisbane from January 17-19.

The fifth World Cup of the season will be held from February 7-9 at the 2002 Olympic venue in Salt Lake City, with the final event in Chicoutimi, Canada, the following weekend.

The world team championships will be held in Sofia, Bulgaria, from March 15-16, with the world championships following in Warsaw, Poland, from March 21-23.

The team will be attempting to qualify in the top eight on the ISU World Cup relay standings to make both the world team titles and the relay event in the world individual championships.

A year ago Australia took 17 rising winter athletes to the Lillehammer 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games and returned home with five medals, a heap of top ten performances and a lifetime of amazing experiences.
