Inaugural De Coubertin Service Awards presented

On Friday 27th June 2003 the Chair of the Queensland Olympic Council Education Commission Olympian Kim Cooper, presented the first inaugural De Coubertin Service Award to Marlene Mathews and John Kane.

Former Chair of the Education Commission Marlene Mathews and recently retired long-standing commission member John Kane epitomised the award's aims of recognising the efforts of outstanding service to the Queensland Olympic Council’s Educational programs.
