Rowers ride for Telethon

On Tuesday, 2nd November David McGowan (04) and Ben Cureton (04) set off from Kalgoorlie in the early hours of morning to begin their journey to Perth.

That’s right rode... David and Ben better known for their skills in the boat cycled from Kalgoorlie to Perth, 620km (without support) to raise money for Telethon.

38 hours later the boys rode into Perth and had managed to raise $2,500 along the way.

Gillian Rolton was an Olympic great – winning two Olympic Gold medals as a member of our 3-day equestrian event team in Barcelona 1992 with Matt Ryan, Andrew Hoy and David Green and again in Atlanta in 1996 with Andrew, Philip Dutton and Wendy Schaeffer, with her much loved Peppermint Grove.
