Sandra Pisani

Sandra Pisani was a dual Olympian for Australia. Her finest moment came in Seoul when she was a member of the Hockeyroos team that won Australia its first hockey gold medal at the Games. Four years earlier, Pisani had been part of the team in Los Angeles that had finished an unlucky fourth. Seoul proved to be a much happier tournament for Australia. After advancing to the semi-finals, it beat reigning Olympic and world champions the Netherlands 3-2 in the semi-final. In the final, it beat host nation South Korea 2-0 to record a historic win.
